"MUCH NEEDED" New Furniture !!
Well, I feel like a queen this month . I have gotten my new washer and dryer and now my new furniture. Hubby has worked so hard and put in mega overtime, just for this ! I am so blessed ! I have 6 kids and 5 of them are older with children of their own. I've had a few of them come back to the nest and stay temporarily, and all of them have used my couch and loveseat as a bed. My boys are big boys ( not necessarily chubby like me, but big) and let me tell you, my furniture was telling it's age and showing off it's abuse no matter what I did to hide it !
I live in a mobile home and we've done some remodeling and such, but there is no hope for the lack of space in my living room. I did not realize how much "deeper" this set was than my old one, and I am still debating as to this sets "permanent" position in the scheme of the room. I chose this mainly for the style and the colors in the fabric were perfect, but I am not really fond of the paisley print.
I also am in need of some help with the windows. I got these little toppers at Lowe's, but I didn't want to spend what they were asking for coordinating panels, so I am still throwing ideas around about that. For now, I am just going to make myself content and happy with my new things. I want to just sit back and enjoy them...Oh, I for got to mention how "comfortable" they are !!! It's heaven compared to my old ones which definately were NOT !
Very nice!! They look very comfortable!! congrats and have fun moving them around for just the right placement!!

ReplyDeleteWe are in desperate need of a new couch in our den. Y'all have given me incentive to start lookin' but man, my funds are low. I wonder if they would take belly button lint as a down payment? :> )

Robin,
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the new furniture!
I had a very similar problem about two years ago. I wanted new furniture and we picked out a very simple tan micorsuede couch. We only got the couch at the time but ended up getting the matching recliner a few weeks later. That couch was a miserable PITA to get in the trailer! Oh my! And then I was a little sad because it was higher, wider, deeper than the old couch. I measured everything but I kept thinking it was only a tiny bit larger until we got it here. After awhile I got used to it and it never bothered me again.
I don't have very recent pictures of our living room to posted to my blog to show you. However, we did some rearranging a few months back and it worked out better for us to put the couch on the opposite side of the room. I have my sewing machine table in front of the window that your couch is on with a glider rocker on one side and the recliner on the other. Our TV is on the smaller wall inside the door. I know you have your entertainment center thing in the corner. We did that, too for some time but we found it really closed the space in more than we thought.
Good luck! Enjoy!
It looks beautiful Robin!!! The dryer sounds incredible....I need one of them!!! xxxRobby
