You know you are Domesticated when.....
A new washer and dryer can get you more excited than.....Well....than you've been in a long time !!!....LOL
I am totally lovin' my new contraptions and let me say this.....I forgot it should only take about 20 - 30 minutes to dry a load of towels.....my old dryer has been on it's last leg for so long, I had to run every load through an entire cycle at least 3 times to get them dry...... NOT ANY MORE !!! My husband heavy Denim coat with sheepsskin was in the last load I did and it took anly 25 minutes to dry the entire load of jeans, some work shirts and his coat..... WOW....and they say that the washer will pay for itself in a few years just in the soap, water and energy you save... I'm all for saving money, water and energy .....
You lucky, lucky girl!! So much more effective too!! Love the way you have it decorated about as well!! Now I've gotta go change laundry in my old crappy one....I'll feed the mice a little extra...see if they'll peddal a little faster...and see if I can come close to your 25 min!! LOL!!

Robin,
ReplyDeleteYour posting about the dryer taking so long got me thinking! Mine has started to take a lot longer to dry loads in, too, however it's only about 4 years old. I did research and I believe the vent from the dryer out to where it comes out from under the trailer needs cleaned! Yet another job for poor DH that has to do with climbing around on the ground under the trailer! LOL
Thanks for posting because I probably wouldn't have thought must about it and wouldn't have researched further!
Love your laundry area, bye the way! It's so hard to get nice pictures of that little laundry space in a trailer, isn't it?
You will love your new front loading machines!
ReplyDeleteLove your laundry room... I'd be ashamed to show you mine lol
